Dental Corporation becomes member of DGPA
Dental Corporation recently accepted an invitation to become a member of the Dental Group Practices Association (DGPA).
DGPA is a non-profit association established by 13 of the largest Dental Service Organisations (DSO’s) operating in the U.S.A. The DGPA members collectively service 1,500+ dental practices currently operating in 46 states with over 3,200 affiliated dentists with over 5 million patient visits per annum. Collectively DGPA members will generate over US$2.5 billion revenue in 2009.
Dental Corporation is the first international member invited to join the DGPA.
Dental Corporation was founded in 2007 to partner with and acquire high quality general and specialist dental practices. Dental Corporation is the largest DSO in Australia. Dr Ray Khouri, Executive Director of Dental Corporation, says ‘Dental Corporation’s primary intention is to build the best dental business in Australasia focused on delivering high quality services’.
Like Dr Ray Khouri, the Director of DGPA, Dr Edward Meckler recognises that ‘today’s difficult economic times demand an efficient work operation and levels of support not possible in an individual practice’. The DGPA’s member’s commitment to ‘not only provide quality customer service but also the highest levels of dental care’ directly correlates with the core values of all Dental Corporation practices across Australia.
Drawing direct parallels from the success of Dental Corporation’s business model, participants in a recent DGPA survey showed that practitioners ranked centralised practice support, increased financial opportunity, ongoing education and networking, practice ownership at less risk and career opportunities as the top reasons to join a Dental Service Organisation.
Dental Corporation now has 70 practice locations in Australia, across NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS and ACT. According to Dr Khouri, the success of Dental Corporation to date has resulted due to fact that they are ‘partnering with the best practices in the country effectively building a critical foundation for sustainable growth’.
Where Dental Corporation differs from others in the marketplace is due to the fact that the business model has been especially designed to incentivise performance and provide support to the practice while allowing them to maintain their independence. Dental Corporation only comprises of high quality practices that are running their businesses effectively. According to Dr Angelo Lazaris, ‘joining Dental Corporation has been a fantastic experience, the support from the corporate centre and the calibre of the group positively reinforces my decision and I look forward to my future with Dental Corporation.’
The Chairman of Dental Corporation, Mark Evans is ‘most excited about the move to become a member of DGPA as ‘we will be able to ensure our finger is on the pulse constantly while gaining insight into what is working internationally and what can be potentially introduced into the Australian marketplace’.
