Founded in 2007, Dental Corporation acquires and collaborates with quality dental practices, run by experienced practitioners. Since its foundation, Dental Corporation has continually expanded and developed an array of support services.
Dental Corporation is Australia and New Zealand’s largest dental group, comprising 190 clinics and more than 560 dentists. In 2010, Dental Corporation was partially acquired by international healthcare group, Fortis Global Healthcare Pte Ltd. Further investment was made in May 2011 taking a controlling stake in the business by acquiring shares from existing shareholders including dentists.
In May 2013, Bupa acquired 100% of Dental Corporation through a Scheme of Arrangement. Bupa’s purpose is longer, healthier, happier lives. A leading healthcare group, Bupa provides health insurance and aged care services, as well as complementary healthcare services through Bupa Dental Corporation, Bupa Optical, Bupa Medical Visa Services, Bupa Medical Telehealth, Bupa Wellness and Bupa Medical GP Clinics. Bupa focuses on providing sustainable healthcare solutions that represent real value, and on leading the industry in the promotion of preventative health and wellness. Bupa’s Australian and New Zealand businesses are part of the international Bupa Group, which cares for more than 29 million people in over 190 countries.
With no shareholders, Bupa reinvests its profits back into the business to deliver better products and services for its customers in pursuit of its purpose.
