Dr Bill O'Reilly (Dentist)Non-Executive DirectorConjoint Associate Professor, Dr Bill O’Reilly brings with him an invaluable wealth of experience and expertise in the field of dentistry and the health care industry as a whole. Bill started out as a general dental practitioner in 1978, working both for the Royal Australian Navy and in private practice before being admitted as a barrister to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1988. Before joining Dental Corporation, Bill was a Director of Manchester Unity for 5 years and its independent elected Chairman for 4 years. He also served two terms as president of the Australian Dental Association NSW branch and two terms as the President of the National Australian Dental Association. Bill has chaired two of the standing committees of the International Dental Federation (FDI), Geneva, Switzerland, currently sits on their Ethics Committee and is the current President Elect of the Commonwealth Dental Association. This unique mix of high level clinical skills, a legal background and corporate experience has allowed Bill to understand the unique relationship that exists in Australia between health care providers, insurance providers and patients in the provision of health services. |

He is Group Chairman of Fortis Healthcare, a leading healthcare player in India and the Asia Pacific. He is spearheading the creation of the first integrated pan Asian healthcare delivery model. Previously, Malvinder was Chairman, MD and CEO of Ranbaxy Laboratories. He was instrumental in the coming together of Ranbaxy and Daiichi Sankyo, to create the fifteenth largest pharmaceutical company in the world – a move seen as a game-changer by industry experts. Malvinder also has interests in the Financial Services and Insurance sectors through Religare Enterprises, India’s fastest growing, integrated financial services company with over 10,000 employees and a presence in 12 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Malvinder was a member of the Young Global Leaders initiative of the World Economic Forum, from its inception in 2005, for a period of six years. He is a member of the Board of Visitors at the Fuqua School of Business (Duke University, USA) and the Board of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER). Vishal BaliNon-Executive DirectorVishal is the CEO for Fortis Global Healthcare Holdings Pvt Ltd. He is recognized amongst the leaders in the change management of the healthcare delivery sector in India and is globally acknowledged for his contribution to the sector over the last two decades. Prior to his current assignment he was the CEO for Fortis Hospitals and before that for Wockhardt Hospitals Group where he spent 19 years and established a pan India network of super speciality hospitals. Vishal completed his Bachelor’s in Science and Master’s in Business Administration from Bombay University and has completed an advance program in Hospital Management from Boston. Besides serving on the board of Fortis Hospitals Ltd he is an invited member on the Strategic Initiatives group of Joint Commission International, US and on the Global Agenda Healthcare Council of the World Economic Forum. Vishal is a recipient of the Indian Healthcare Leader of the year by Express Healthcare for his role in shaping the growth of the healthcare sector in India. Dr Daphne KhooNon-Executive DirectorDaphne is the Chief Medical Officer for Fortis Healthcare International. Prior to her current appointment, she was Head of Endocrinology at the Singapore General Hospital as well as Director of Clinical Governance and Quality Management at Singapore Health Services, the largest public healthcare cluster in Singapore. She was also a Director of the Risk Management Office (Singapore Health Services) and Adjunct Associate Professor of the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore. After gaining her Bachelor of Medicine in 1983 at the National University of Singapore, Daphne worked in various hospitals and completed a Masters of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1988. Daphne received the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 1988 and was later recognised as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in 1995 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP (Edin) in 1998. She trained in Endocrinology at the Singapore General Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Daphne has over 28 years of experience in the medical field where she had been acclaimed through several notable awards, secured major research funding awards and been published in numerous medical publications. She is a Past President of the Association of Women Doctors, Singapore as well as Past President of the Association of South East Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies. Her areas of expertise include clinical and translational research, quality management and improvement in healthcare as well as chronic disease management. |
