Mark Evans

Executive Chairman

Mark is a co-founder of Dental Corporation. As Executive Chairman, Mark is focused on strategy development, acquisitions and financing while overseeing the day-to-day operations in consultation with Dr Ray Khouri, David Bonham and Gordon Towell.

Mark has over 20 years experience in corporate finance, investment banking and company management and has undertaken numerous Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) floats and capital and finance raisings across many industries.

Prior to Dental Corporation, Mark was a Director of a stock broking and corporate advisory business for 8 years, before becoming the Managing Director of Kids Campus in 2004 where he oversaw the growth of the ASX listed company from 6 to 120 childcare centres in 3 states.

Following Kids Campus Mark set up Normanby Capital before establishing Dental Corporation in early 2007.

Dr Ray Khouri (Dentist)

Executive Director

Much of the original Dental Corporation vision was that of Dr Ray Khouri, a Sydney based dentist who has had a long standing dream to consolidate and provide business solutions to the top end dental market.

Ray is a co-founder and Executive Director. His role focuses on identifying and reviewing potential new practice acquisitions.

Ray has had a 17 year career in clinical dentistry. During this time he acquired, grew and sold a number of separate practices across Sydney. Each was sold with the gross revenues having increased under Ray’s ownership. More recently he has been Director of Dental Services for the dental arm of a large corporate healthcare provider, a role which included establishing multiple dental practices from start-up.

Ray has a strong understanding of the dental market, how to grow dental practices and the incentives and drivers that work best for both dentists and auxiliary staff. He has significant experience in recruiting and managing associate dentists and establishing relationships with suppliers.

Chris Chambers

Executive Director

Chris is also a co-founder of Dental Corporation. In his role as Executive Director, Chris oversees the acquisition of individual dental practices, major practice expansion projects and bolt on acquisitions. Chris is responsible for the analysis, due diligence and legal documentation process, overseeing settlement and working with operational areas to facilitate transactions. Chris also works closely with Mark Evans on strategy development and group financing arrangements.Chris has had a 10 year career in corporate advisory and strategy consulting.

During this time he has undertaken a wide range of merger and acquisition projects (including reverse takeovers, public company takeovers and business sales), equity and debt raisings (from seed, through private equity and bank debt to IPO’s and placements) and general advisory (such as acquisition strategy development, investor communications and business planning).
 

David Bonham

Director – Finance and Services

David is professionally qualified in both accounting and business administration, and has many years of operational experience in CFO and General Manager positions. David has worked across many industries and countries for large multinational companies.

David has a broad range of experience across finance and accounting, IT and business systems, and operational management in varied businesses including professional accounting, supply chain and both industrial product and fresh produce manufacturing.

A Six Sigma Champion trained in Statistical Process Control and experienced in implementing and managing quality systems (ISO, HACCP), David has full day-to-day responsibility for the integration and ongoing delivery of support services to all practices. This includes leading the functional management team in delivering services in the areas of Customer Service (Accounts Payable and Payroll), Business Process, Accounting, HR and IT.

Gordon Towell FAICD

Director – Strategy and Development

Gordon joined the Board of Dental Corporation in August 2008 and served as a non-executive Director and Chairman of the company’s Remuneration and Audit Committees until August 2011.

In August 2011 Gordon joined the Dental Corporation operational team as Director of Strategy and Planning, overseeing the creation and implementation of operational, marketing and communication strategies for the business. He is also still a current non-executive Chairman of Dynamic Hearing, a leading developer of high quality digital signal processing technology for Bluetooth headsets and hearing aids.

Prior to joining Dental Corporation full-time, Gordon served most recently as the Chief Executive Officer at Global Procurement Solutions Pty Ltd headquartered in Sydney and before this Gordon was the Chief Executive Officer of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and the Circulations Audit Board. He has held several other Executive and NED roles in “blue chip” companies including CEO of the GEON Group, CEO of IBS Automotive (ERP software developer), Managing Director of Granada Business Technology, a subsidiary of the Granada Group PLC and Managing Director of the Compel Group PLC.

With over 20 years experience in the technology, media and engineering sectors, Gordon has built up a broad range of business experience.
